Collin Williams, an accomplished saxophonist from Durham, North Carolina, originally hails from Charlotte, NC. A proud double graduate of North Carolina Central University's (NCCU) Jazz department, Collin honed his craft under the mentorship of esteemed saxophonists and educators Dr. Ira Wiggins and Dr. Brian Horton. With 18 years of saxophone experience, Collin's versatile career spans diverse musical settings, including military bands, jazz and big bands, wedding ensembles, church and gospel groups, and even DJ performances. His strong ties to NCCU have also afforded him the opportunity to perform with notable artists and groups from North Carolina, such as trumpeter Al Strong, Soul Understated featuring Mavis Swan Poole, Marcus Anderson, and more. Recently, Collin has embarked on a solo career, bringing a fresh perspective to smooth jazz.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Collin has always possessed a natural talent for the visual arts. Since childhood, he has been passionate about drawing and creating. His artistic abilities were further developed at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, NC, where he studied both music and drawing. During his college years, Collin taught himself acrylic painting, combining his drawing skills with a newfound passion for this medium. His debut collection of contemporary portraits pays homage to legendary jazz musicians and vocalists who have greatly influenced the music world. Following his debut album release and art show in December 2019, Collin has been diligently working on new music and art projects.
